Webinar at MNPS

As schools began to switch to remote learning because of the corona virus pandemic, schools started virtual professional development opportunities for teachers. Motilal Nehru Public School hosted webinars on topics related to health, value education and practicing mindfulness .Today our school reached out to parents too through a webinar on “Well Being of Our Children, common problems in toddlers”.

The Speaker was  Dr Bandana Banerjee ,Pediatrician of Narayana Multispecialty Hospital – Jaipur. The webinar was organized keeping in mind challenging times of covid 19. Doctor Bandana Banerjee, addressed  parents about the health issues of children. She graciously took up questions of parents too. Over 500 parents attended the session. The speaker laid emphasis on home care and precautions during these times. She answered all queries of parents, related to health, diet and also guided them how to promote hygiene practices among children. The webinar was very informative and enriching and ended with a question and answer round. All the parents were happy with the session.

The other webinars hosted were as follows –

On 20th June, School hosted webinar on,”Value education in school –resulting in ethical behavior of students “by Mrs. Vipin Sharma of Chinmaya Mission.

On 21sr June, International Yoga Day, School faculty took part in live yoga session on,”Awakening Path of Yoga” by Ms. Darshana Pandya (yoga trainer, Shivnand Ashram)

On 22nd June, faculty attended the webinar on theme, “When you are sick”, a health awareness program by Dr. Indranath Banerjee (MD in community medicine , WHO )

On 27th June, school faculty took part in the webinar, Practicing Mindfulness by Debojit Sen and Gauri Rangneker (emotional counselor) on how to overcome stress.

Apart from these, there were other webinars on Career Councelling, by Jitin Chawla and training for ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) teachers on Mobile App development.The school has been organizing these webinars supporting the continuation of teaching and learning during the Covid 19 Pandemic taking care of our physical and mental health too.
